Human Mortgage and What Makes Us Different?

 

Buying your home, whether it’s your first home or it’s your tenth, is always a big deal. That’s why First Community Mortgage’s Human Mortgage philosophy is "knowing that behind every transaction there are humans." This philosophy is the right fit for how I work with my clients.

First, I understand that while apps and other technology can help processes move along a little faster, nothing is as important as a trusted partner. So I’ll work with you wherever you are. Don’t want to email? No problem. Want me to take your application by hand? I can do that, too. The key is to help you feel comfortable through the process from beginning to end.

Next, you know that saying “No question is a dumb question”? That’s one I really take to heart. Whatever question it is you have, no matter how silly or insignificant you may think it is, it’s a good question. And one I will be delighted to answer for you. There’s no judgment here.

Finally, flexible availability. What makes me different is the availability I have for my clients. Whether you need to be able to reach me at 3:00 pm or 3:00 am, we can make it work. I don’t work from just 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. If you work third shift and sleep during the day, I’ll schedule something to fit your needs.

The passion I have for my customers means I'm trying to do the best thing possible for you. This means trying to facilitate everything and help you in every way I can. Whether it's, "Let me get the insurance quotes for you and send that out, so that you don't have to worry about that” or  “You need to worry about packing and all the other things that you have going on in your life. Let me take as much of that burden, and I can disperse that out to other professionals and have them handle it." I’m an expert at getting things done by using all of the resources available to me at First Community Mortgage.

Ultimately, I always try to place myself in my customer’s shoes and treat them the way I would want to be treated. That means the customer comes first, and the focus is on doing what’s right.

My Path to First Community Mortgage

 

I was working in law enforcement as a Sheriff’s Deputy for several years when I decided to get my Bachelors Degree. Once I graduated, I transitioned to a large mortgage company in Dallas’ booming financial district. This is where I learned about all aspects of the mortgage industry and decided to focus on residential loans. It’s where I rose through the ranks and became well-versed in all things mortgage-related.

Eventually, I came to First Community because I liked everything I heard from the leadership. Their philosophy aligned with mine and now we’re the number one new construction lender in the state.

We’re the number three USDA lender in the state. As a local lender with headquarters in Murfreesboro, TN, there’s a bunch more we could tout. For a company our size, we’re doing the right things. We do what we do really well, and that's why we have the success we have, especially in Tennessee. It all comes down to excellent customer service and taking to heart how you want to treat people. This is what makes my job extremely satisfying.

What I Can Do For You

 

I take people who are looking to purchase a home, or refinance an existing home, and I provide the financing so that they can either purchase the home or refinance an existing loan balance.

I focus 100% on residential mortgages. That's all I do is residential, no commercial, nothing else. You might need a purchase transaction to buy your first home. Perhaps a refinance transaction where you want to pay off an existing lien and taking out cash. Or you might need a home equity conversion or reverse mortgage to be able to stay in your home in your golden years. I also do renovation loans for a current property or a property you want to buy that needs fixing up.

Another service I offer is that I really take on the role of coaching those with less than stellar credit into a position where they can buy a home. If this sounds like you, I can help you do the credit repair you need to secure funding, and there’s no extra cost for you. I’ll show you exactly what you need to do, and then we’ll create a schedule for following up on your progress. As long as you are moving forward, we’ll get you to where you want to be, with keys to your new home. We'll figure it out and we'll piece it together. It’s just a matter of timing. Whether it takes 30 days, or three years, I’ll take the time to help you reach your goals.
